Baldur's Gate

What players like

• 75+ hours of classic D&D storytelling with memorable companions
• Excellent tablet experience, especially on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil support
• Faithful preservation of original campaign plus Tales of the Sword Coast expansion
• Active community and comprehensive wiki still available
• Works well on large screens; genuine replay value for fans

Common complaints

• UI elements and text far too small on phones, unplayable on iPhone even with scaling options
• No controller support despite repeated player requests
• Critical bugs blocking progression (tutorial lockups, spell screens refusing to close, touch targets not registering)
• Aspect ratio and resolution issues on newer devices like iPad mini
• No active developer support; last update 7 years ago, abandoned support forums

What real reviews say

★★★★★ this game is sick Loved this game as a kid and stoked to have it on my phone - tactical pausing for the win on iPhone as the small screen makes it a bit difficult to target / cast spells / loot but overall 5/5 worth the money for the nostalgia!

★ Needs controller support Buttons too smol, pretty please.

★★ Broken mechanics- not in a good way 2nd half of story (Cloakwoods) wont open due to storyline logic breakdown. Unable to finish story. Unable to carry characters forward to next game. Last developer update 7 yrs ago.
